Location Announced for Sandy Springs Society's 2006 Tossed Out Treasures Resale Extravaganza
The Sandy Springs Society has announced its annual resale extravaganza, Tossed Out Treasures, will be held at 6690 Roswell Road in the Sandy Springs Crossing Shopping Center on the corner of Roswell and Abernathy Roads. The anchor store in Sandy Springs Crossing is Sports Authority and the sale will be held in two empty retail spaces flanking CiCi's pizza. Carla Sweetwood, a Society member and a realtor, was instrumental in securing the empty retail space that is being donated courtesy of Ronus Properties, the owner of Sandy Springs Crossing Shopping Center.
This year's sale will open with a pre-sale Preview Party on Thursday, March 16 from 6-9 p.m. at the above location. Tickets to the pre-sale event are $20 at the door and admission includes light fare donated by Chicago's Steak and Seafood Restaurant.
The Tossed Out Treasures Sale will open to the public on Friday, March 17, from 9-4, and on Saturday, March 18, from 9-4.
The Tossed Out Treasures sale will feature something for everyone, from the gardening enthusiast to the decorator. Gently-used designer and better-brand clothing and accessories, sporting goods, children's items, antiques and vintage furnishings, collectibles, home decor and gardening items will be featured at bargain-basement prices. Some of the more unusual items for sale this year include an authentic Chinese rickshaw, a player piano with music rolls, and a electric scooter.
For more information on the sale, contact Judy Burkholder, 404-847-9245.
